SOCOMORE proposes new clean and performing technologies for surface preparation before painting or boding on different metals. These developments come from aircraft manufacturers patents. Sol-gel SOCOGEL are aqueous solutions of zirconium salts, activated by an organo-silicon compound. After application, the Solgel solution forms a high performance hybrid coating, which enhances the adhesion of paint systems or bonding on metals and alloys or protects against corrosion.

SOCOGEL A0203 BLUE

  SOL GEL BEFORE PAINTING SOCOGEL A0203 BLUE is an aqueous solution of zirconium salts, activated by an organo-silicon compound. After application, the solution forms a high performance sol-gel hybrid coating, which enhances the adhesion of paint systems on metals and alloys such as aluminium, titanium, stainless steel. SOCOGEL A0203 BLUE main characteristics : is a patented technology enhances painting adhesion and durability of most of the current paint systems is designed to solve the rivet rash issue  is a chromium free conversion product - an interesting alternative to highly harmful chromate conversion technologies is a potential process cost saving  as no rinsing is required after application (no rinsing process, neither effluent treatment) is blue to visualise the product when applied. SOCOGEL B0202

  CHROMIUM FREE CONVERSION BEFORE PAINTING OF METAL ALLOYS   SOCOGEL B0202 is a sol-gel developed from a technology licensed by BOEING. Solgel conversion products are aqueous solutions of zirconium salts, activated by an organo-silicon compound. After application, the Solgel solution forms a high performance hybrid coating, which enhances the adhesion of paint systems on metals and alloys such as Aluminium, Titanium, Stainless Steel,  SOCOGEL B0202 performances comply with current aeronautical requirements and are an interesting alternative to chromate conversion technologies that are recognised as highly harmful for workers (classification R45: may cause cancer) which generate increasing waste treatment costs (baths, effluents). SOCOGEL B0202 use is also more economical in terms of operating costs and effluent treatment, because no rinsing is required after application. SOCOGEL A0104

  Chromium free anti-corrosion protection and adhesion promoter After spraying application and polymerization, SOCOGEL A0104 is a sol-gel solution that forms a high performance multifunctional coating. It is a chromium free technology free from CMR substances (carcinogenic, mutagenic, reprotoxic). The application process of this technology requires less energy compared with bath product application. It doesn’t require water and does not generate effluent treatment. SOCOGEL B0102

  SURFACE PREPARATION FOR ADHESIVE BONDING OF METAL ALLOYS  SOCOGEL B0102 is a sol-gel using a technology licensed by BOEING. Solgel conversion products are aqueous solutions of zirconium salts activated by an organo-silicon compound, they are particularly effective for surface preparation prior to adhesive bonding. After application and curing the Solgel solution forms a high performance hybrid coating enhancing the adhesion of bonding systems on metals and alloys such as Aluminium, Titanium and Stainless Steel. SOCOGEL B0102 performances comply with current aeronautical requirements and are an interesting alternative to anodizing technologies (chromic, sulphuric...) that are recognised as highly harmful for workers (classification R45: may cause cancer) and which generate increasing waste treatment costs (baths, effluents). SOCOGEL B0102 is more economical in terms of operating costs and effluent treatment. No rinsing is required after application. The product can be dried at ambient temperature.
